Plaza grabbed 2-1 lead in the Santiago League Finals. They held off GUG to regain the advantage in the championship series. Anyeuri Castillo (201-F-1997, college: USC Aiken) came up with 29 points to lead the winners.
Plaza secured a 21-17 lead ten minutes into the game. They established a 42-38 halftime lead. Plaza maintained the lead throughout the third term. They entered the fourth quarter up by three points 63-60 and held on to the lead in the final period to snatch the win. Adrian Forbes (208-F/C-1988, college: Auburn, agency: Haylett Sports) provided 14 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Juan Miguel Suero (196-F-1993) answered with 27 points and 9 rebounds for GUG. Juan Guerrero (205-F-1993) had 17 points in the loss.
